A Tribute to Carole King by Wayne K. Yamamoto and Friend
Tapestry by Carole King is one of the best contemporary albums of all time. It won four Grammy Awards in 1972: Album of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. It caught my attention years ago; Today I use it soothe my daughter to sleep.
Tapestry was released in 1971. 2021 is the 50th anniversary of this mega hit album. I’ve produced Tapestry: Revisited as a tribute to Carole and the awesomeness of the original.
I am thankful for all the artists that performed on this album. They did the hard work — all the creative stuff. I’m just the curator and ring leader. Special thanks to Paul Boutin who did the mixing and mastering.
I hope you enjoy this as much as we did pulling it together.
